Questions About Therapy, Fees & Getting Started
How do I get started?
Start by contacting me to inquire about availability. We can determine whether what you're looking for fits the kind of work I offer and discuss next steps.
Do you offer reduced-fee sessions?
I offer a very limited number of reduced spaces per year to individuals facing financial barriers, with priority given to underserved and marginalized individuals. Please inquire.
What kinds of therapy do you offer?
I offer psychotherapy for women and LGBTQ+ individuals for depression, anxiety, complex and childhood trauma, relationship issues, menopause related mental health problems, issues that many LGBTQ+ populations navigate, late, self-identified or formally diagnosed autistic adults, ADHD, all other forms of neurodiversity, and adjustment issues.
I work with couples, exclusively with those in the LGBTQ+ community that identify as neurodiverse. My work is relational, attachment-focused, trauma-informed, and neurodiversity-affirming.
What is individual therapy with you like?
Individual therapy is a space to understand yourself more deeply—not simply to manage symptoms or become “better” at coping. We may explore relationship patterns, trauma, anxiety, masking, neurodivergence, identity, boundaries, self-trust, and the ways earlier experiences continue to shape your life now.
My approach is collaborative, relational, and grounded in the belief that meaningful change often comes through greater understanding rather than trying to force yourself to be different.
What is couples therapy with you like?
Couples therapy focuses on understanding the pattern between you rather than deciding who is right or wrong. We look beneath recurring conflict to the attachment needs, protective responses, misunderstandings, and nervous-system reactions driving it.
The goal is greater emotional safety, connection, and the ability to experience one another differently—not simply learning communication techniques.
Who is your practice a good fit for?
My practice may be a good fit for women seeking individual therapy and queer or neurodivergent couples who want a deeper, relational approach to therapy. Many of my clients are navigating anxiety, trauma, masking, relationship patterns, identity, life transitions, emotional disconnection, or recurring conflict.
Do you work with neurodivergence and those considered highly sensitive?
Yes. I work with neurodivergence within the context of couples that identify under the LGBTQ+ umbrella, as well as with individual clients. I respect self-identification, including those that feel highly sensitive describes them most authentically. Neurodivergence is understood as a form of diversity and accommodated rather than treated as something that needs to be corrected. Therapy may include exploring differences in communication, sensory experience, emotional processing, executive functioning, masking, overwhelm, and relationship needs.
Do you work with LGBTQ+ clients and couples?
Yes. My practice is LGBTQ+ affirming, and I work extensively with queer, trans, questioning, non-binary, and other LGBTQ+ individuals and couples. Therapy can include relationship concerns, identity, coming out, later-in-life transitions (including those who previously identified at heterosexual), minority stress, family dynamics, or simply having therapy in which your identity does not need to be explained or defended.
Do you accept insurance?
This is a private-pay practice, and I do not bill insurance directly. See my Fess & Services page for details on out-of-network / superbill submissions.
