Therapy for LGBTQ+ Couples &
Neurodiverse Relationships
I work with couples navigating ADHD, autism, sensory needs, overwhelm, and other neurodivergent relationship dynamics, including relationships where one or both partners are neurodiverse.
Couples therapy isn’t about becoming different people. It’s about experiencing one another differently. Not simply learning communication skills, techniques, or change behaviors.
While practical strategies can be helpful, meaningful change happens by transforming the emotional experience between partners. By experiencing one another in new ways, creating deeper trust, curiosity, and emotional safety, honoring differences as strengths and learning how to repair.
Experiencing one another differently is important: emotionally and with good faith.
That means understanding how attachment dynamics impact beliefs, defenses, and patterns.
From Stuckness to Lasting Change
Beyond Blame, Toward Understanding
Rather than deciding who's right or wrong, we become curious about the attachment needs, protective strategies, and relational patterns that keep you both stuck.
Understanding the cycle creates space for compassion, repair, and lasting change.
Neurodivergence is Honored, Not Fixed
Neurodivergence is a form of human diversity, not a deficit. We honor them in our work together.
We explore how different ways of thinking and focus on what’s trying to work.
